Missionary Equipment for Indigenous Leaders in the Amazon Jungle

Project Summary
One of the greatest blessings of our ministry in Ecuador has been witnessing local indigenous leaders take ownership of the mission—reaching people and places far beyond our own reach.

Currently, ten indigenous leaders—two from each of the following communities: Cuchaentza, La Familia, Pumpuís, La Unión, and Campan/Cascadas—are actively evangelizing remote jungle villages. Inspired by past mission visits and training, these men have embraced the calling to go deeper into the rainforest, bringing the Gospel to unreached and forgotten areas.

These leaders often travel for days on foot or by canoe, and when they arrive in these remote communities, they have no proper shelter. Many times, they sleep under makeshift huts or open skies—completely exposed to rain, insects, and extreme conditions.

They have made a humble and urgent request: 10 tents, sleeping bags, and rechargeable flashlights, to be able to rest safely during their outreach journeys.

Project Goal

To equip 10 indigenous missionary leaders with essential camping gear—tents, sleeping bags, and flashlights—so they can safely spend nights in jungle communities while continuing their Gospel mission.

Specific Needs

  • 10 durable camping tents

  • 10 sleeping bags

  • 20 rechargeable flashlights (2 per leader)

This gear will allow each missionary team to be protected, mobile, and better prepared as they travel through harsh and isolated areas.

Estimated Budget

  • Cost per full kit (tent, sleeping bag, flashlights): $200

  • Total for 10 leaders:
    10 kits x $200 = $2,000 USD

Expected Impact

  • Support indigenous missionaries from Cuchaentza, La Familia, Pumpuís, La Unión, and Campan/Cascadas.

  • Enable the safe and sustained spread of the Gospel to unreached Amazonian communities.

  • Empower indigenous-led missions to flourish with dignity and effectiveness.

How You Can Help

  • Pray for these leaders as they risk comfort and safety to bring Christ to the most remote places.

  • Give toward this $2,000 project to provide the equipment they need.

  • Share this mission with your church, small group, or network of mission-minded friends.

These ten leaders are already going—our job is to help them get there safely.
With your support, they will continue to camp, preach, and shine the light of Jesus in the most remote corners of the Amazon jungle.
